Hand embroidery and hand knitting have a long history along the Peruvian coast, dating back before prehispanic times. Nowadays this traditional art is an economic resource for many communities in Peru. As Peruvians, we are proud of our heritage and hope to share it with the world. At the same time, we love empowering the women that create these treasured garments. Through supporting these women, they are able to provide for their families while looking after children of their own.
As part of our tradition, we always give hand embroidered clothing to newborns - this is the tradition that we would like to share with the world!
